Come celebrate the launch of P.S. Burn This Letter Please!

On Thursday, August 17 from 7-8:30pm, Stories Books & Cafe in Los Angeles will be hosting a reading, book signing, partial documentary screening, and Q&A with author Craig Olsen. He will be in conversation with actor/writer/producer/director Meredith Scott Lynn (Legally Blonde, Hollywood Homicide).

Blending social, political and cultural history with memoir, P.S. Burn This Letter Please is a personal, vivid snapshot of drag culture in 1950s New York. Readers are shown how modern drag culture was born through first-hand letters, photographs and lively research from incredible historians. An unforgettable and deeply moving encounter with a generation of incredible survivors, and a necessary account of how modern drag culture was born.

ABOUT CRAIG OLSEN
Craig Olsen is an entrepreneur in art, production and interior design. After discovering a cache of personal letters by prominent drag performers in 1950s New York City, Mr. Olsen embarked on what has now become a 5 year journey to preserve and illuminate the courage of those that have set the stage for the current success of the LGBTQ+ community. Craig is directing his future focus toward preserving gay history through philanthropy and educational outreach.

ABOUT MEREDITH SCOTT LYNN
Indescribably honored to have been asked by the incomparable Craig Olsen to moderate a Q&A at his book launch, Meredith and her mother are officially kvelling.

Before becoming a first time CEO and forming/launching her education company WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS, Meredith had a 30+ year career as a steadily working “familiar but not famous“ actress in film and television. Now a social entrepreneur, educator of educators, conference presenter and speaker, and curriculum creator with no higher education whatsoever (her SAT scores sucked a**.) Meredith’s company has expanded to all 50 states and is literally (and literarily) providing fixes for a broken education system.

As a regular cast member of a dozen excellent sitcom pilots that never saw the light of day, single season series’, and countless guest & recurring roles, Meredith  is probably most recognizable from her small stand out roles in big studio films, such as Legally Blonde, A Night At The Roxbury, & Forces Of Nature and known as the dry, drunk, and deluded Anne Milbauer by fans of Days Of Our Lives.  Wearing producer, actress and director hats on myriad indies such as I Love You, Don’t Touch Me!, Billy’s Hollywood Kiss, Standing On Fishes and others, Meredith loved and thrived on the festival circuit from Sonoma to Sundance  before you couldn’t get into the screenings or the parties.

If you have made it to the end of this bio and have a child or two to whom you would like to give something wonderful, reach out to Meredith through her company’s website and she will give/send you something fantastic and free.
